The 23-year-old is being reported to be in talks with current Serie A champions AC Milan also.
It is known that Zaniolo has struggled with injuries in the past, having missed the entire 2020-21 season due to a ACL injury.
Despite potential injury concerns, the Italian’s ability cannot be denied. He was awarded the best young player award in the 2018-2019 season. This was his first season playing for Roma.
He was an integral player for Jose Mourinho’s Roma side as they went to victory in the European Conference League. He accumulated 6 goals in 12 appearances, one of which was the winner in the final versus Feyenoord.
With at least two clubs interested in the player’s signature, it is understood that the decision will come down to the player’s wishes.
