A vegan restaurant has expressed its excitement to be opening in Bournemouth town centre.
The plant-based restaurant, Vegivores, will be located on Bourne Avenue, opposite the lower gardens.
Sarah Lowdnes owns the restaurant alongside business partner, Kevin.
Speaking to Sarah, she told us why they chose to open in Bournemouth.
“There’s a lovely vibe, the people are just awesome, and there are a couple of decent vegan restaurants here so we were really keen to be a part of the community.”

The restaurant offers a wide menu of plant-based products including lunch, dinner, dessert, and drinks.
In October 2019, the pair opened Vegivores in Caversham, Reading, and have since grown.
“We don’t scream about the fact it’s a vegan restaurant, we just make good food. We just want to encourage people to eat more vegetables and to show people that vegetables can be exciting and really delicious.”
Since announcing their planned arrival, Sarah expressed the positive feedback they have received.
“We’ve been completely overwhelmed with the love from everyone here in Bournemouth. We’ve had some really amazing people come and ask to work with us and join our team. Fingers crossed when we do open people do visit us and enjoy what we do.”
The brand strives to minimise their impact on the environment, using environmentally friendly suppliers and products.
“We are really, really excited. We really hope that people enjoy the food as much as we think they will. We want to create a fun, wholesome atmosphere and make the food you want to eat all the time. We hope you love it.”
They are currently aiming to open their doors in February.
