After an emphatic 7-1 victory against Merley FC Ladies in the second round of the Adobe WFA Cup, Poole Town Ladies are poised to take on Bishops Cleeve Ladies this Sunday in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.

The team’s strong performance against Merley in the second round showcased their attacking prowess and resilience, setting high expectations as they advance into this next round of the competition.

In their recent second-round fixture against Merley FC, Katie Marshallsay was a standout performer, netting two goals to help her team to victory.

Her ability to find the back of the net will be crucial as Poole look to continue their cup run.

Marshallsay said: “I’m delighted to be able to contribute to the team’s success. Every goal counts.”

“I feel in great form in this competition and the dressing room is motivated and fit to keep progressing.”

This collective spirit could prove vital in facing Bishops Cleeve, who will undoubtedly provide a strong challenge.

Bishops Cleeve Ladies have had mixed results in their recent games, and will be eager to turn their fortunes around, especially in a knockout competition like the WFA Cup.

For the first time in their history they have progressed to the third round, after securing a victory in the second round.

This match will be critical for both teams, as advancement can set the tone for the rest of the season.

With both teams eager to secure a place in the next round, fans can expect an unpredictable result with plenty of goals, making this a highly anticipated clash in the women’s football calendar.
