A Bournemouth cafe was forced to close for two days when construction workers burst a water pipe.
Bobby’s Parlour in Bournemouth Square closed its doors due to water damage to walls, their coffee machine and stock.
Bobby & Co is undergoing construction on multiple floors. This will add The Botanist Rooftop Restaurant & Bar, shops, a temporary event space and Patch Neighborhood Workspace.
Bobby’s Parlour was forced to close on Tuesday October 15 during opening hours, forcing staff and customers to be evacuated.
Maddie Edwards, a supervisor, said: “When the sprinklers went off it killed our business for the whole day.
“I can’t wait for them to finish but it is nice to see them come by every day.”
Grace, a staff member, added: “It has been annoying hearing them drill most days.”
Bobby & Co has said it will pay for the damage to the café and the lost stock.
