A petition has been released to stop a coffee shop in Bournemouth being bought out by Greggs.
Coffee shop regular, Carl Vincent has called for a petition to halt Greggs from buying the much-loved cafe.
The owner of the cafe, Annie Sadler ran her coffee shop outside Bournemouth railway station since 1988.
There is concern from locals that the implementation of an additional Greggs near the train station could attract some anti-social behaviour to the area.
George Farquhar, local Cllr for Boscombe and Pokesdown, said: “Small local businesses are part of the community, instead of serving a community.
“Reinvesting their takings into the business instead of a shareholders value.
“Their regular customers are known by their first names, buying from a small business is like buying from a friend or neighbour knowing you both benefit from the trade.”
Buzz News have requested a comment from Greggs, but they have not yet responded.
