Residents of Poole have told Buzz News they are concerned that dog walkers who do not keep their pets on leads will disturb a rare bird that has been drawing “twitchers” to a Dorset park.
It has been almost two weeks since the snow bunting first visited Hamworthy Park.
The small white and brown bird is usually seen around Scotland, the north west and east coast of England.
Its visit this far south is unusual and has sparked concerns about its well-being in a busy area.
The bird has been spotted feeding and preening behind the beach huts, just a short distance from a Hamworthy Park, a popular place for dog walkers.
