Nominations for this year’s British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) have been announced.
25 categories will be awarded, including a new award for this year – Children’s and Family Film.
The nominations include Disney’s Inside Out 2, Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl and The Wild Robot, the latter breaking many hearts around the world.
Emilia Pérez looks to win its second award this season after winning the most at the golden Globes – it is up for nomination in the Film Not in the English Language category, alongside Irish film Kneecap.
Nominations for Best Lead Actor include Timothée Chalamet (A Complete Unknown), Adrien Brody (The Brutalist) and Hugh Grant makes a comeback with his role in Heretic.
Succession co-stars Jeremy Strong (The Apprentice) and Kieran Culkin (A Real Pain) both make the shortlist for Best Supporting Actor.
Irish actress Saoirse Ronan receives a Best Actress nomination for her role in The Outrun.
Other nominees include Cynthia Erivo (Wicked), Demi Moore (The Substance) and Mikey Madison (Anora).
Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldana receive nominations for Best Supporting Actress alongside Ariana Grande for her performance in Wicked.
Gladiator makes the shortlist for Outstanding British Film but missed out on a nomination for Best Film.
The shortlist for Outstanding British Film includes Blitz, Kneecap, Lee and Conclave.
Conclave, Emilia Perez, A Complete Unknown and The Brutalist all receive Best Film nominations this year.
The awards ceremony will take place on the 16th of February 2025, hosted by fan favourite David Tennant.
