Poole Town’s attendances are the highest they have been since the 2016/17 season, averaging 631 supporters every week.
The average currently beats last season’s 504 average attendance and has been on an upward trajectory since crowds returned post pandemic.
Poole Town Chairman, Chris Reeves, explains that supporters are the life blood of the club
“If we didn’t have a good following of fans, you could query why we do what we do. A loyal fan base invigorates everyone to give maximum effort.”
The club have taken different approaches on and off the pitch to improve the matchday experience.
One of the new changes is the club’s improved output on social media, Reeves insists this is a big reason for the rise of attendances.
“The biggest thing that we’ve done is substantially improved our social media output, the stats on our social media platforms are incredibly impressive and we’ve got people involved now who have taken us to another level.”
It has been a difficult season for Poole, amid an ongoing relegation fight, the Dolphins currently sit only two points above the relegation places in the Southern Premier.
There has also been a change of manager in the BlackGold Stadium dugout, former manager, Steve Tully departed by mutual consent at the start of 2025.
He has since been replaced by joint managers, Joe Lea and Pat Suraci, who pick up a club where attendances are on the rise.
Poole Town’s next home match is against Frome Town on 1st February.
