Storm Herminia has begun just days after storm Eowyn ploughed across the country.
The storm is lasting throughout the day and the Met Office has issued yellow warnings for wind and rain across the South coast.
The storm is hitting the hardest in the West Midlands as well as more Northern parts of the UK.
For Dorset, there has been some disruption including road closures, flooding and fallen trees. With the A350 being closed between the Roundhouse Roundabout and Limberlost. People are being warned to check before they travel and avoid unnecessary journeys.
Thunderstorms and hail showers have travelled across BCP in the last 24 hours. Drivers are urged to be especially careful with the level of rain there is.
UPDATE
Overnight yellow weather warnings are still in place for high winds and rain.
This is issued for spells of rain that may cause flooding across the South West of England until 9pm this evening.
Included in this current warning are also potential thunderstorms throught the day.
The Met Office has also put thirty six yellow weather warnings across the country alongside Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
There are also 171 flood alerts nationally.
