The Pickle Pad has recently opened in Mudeford, Christchurch combining Pickleball and Padel, becoming the first indoor centre in the UK to offer both sports.
Founders Karen and Tania have been running Pickleball in local centres for a number of years and having grown a community, they decided to open their own indoor centre in November.
Honor Dench spoke to Karen and Tania about their motivations behind owning Pickle Pad.
Both sports boost mental and physical wellbeing and is considered a great social activity for all ages and abilities.
The ethos of The Pickle Pad is to build a community where Padel and Pickleball players play together.
Both sports are considered strategical but are polar opposites in rules.
