Bournemouth Water customers will experience a 32% price increase to their bills in April.
Final figures show an average of £123 more on average water bills across England and Wales.
Around 2.5 million people are already in debt with their water company.
Water companies claim that they will set aside more than four billion pounds to fund social tariffs.
This also includes discounted bills for vulnerable people.
Water UK’s chief executive, David Henderson, said: “While we urgently need investment in our water and sewage infrastructure, we know that for many this increase will be difficult.”
Factors that measure how much water a customer uses, and weather they are metered, will ultimately result in bill changes varying considerably depending on individuals circumstances.
