Officials have announced that there are no survivors from the air collision which happened last night.
At least 30 bodies have now been recovered from the Potomac River following the plane crash.
The jet carrying 60 passengers and 4 crew collided with a US Army helicopter mid-air as it approached to land at Ronald Regan Washington National Airport.
Residents of Wichita, Kansas, where the plane took off from, who have been impacted by the events of last night were provided with support; however, Mayor Lily Wu informed reporters that she is currently unaware of the number of passengers who were local residents.
