Prince Andrew’s contact with Jeffrey Epstein continued past 2010, e-mails reveal

Court documents show the Duke of York engaged in friendly exchanges with Epstein as late as 2011, contradicting earlier public statements about severing ties.

Newly released court documents have revealed that Prince Andrew maintained contact with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein beyond his previous admissions.

Emails published in a case involving banker Jes Staley show a “member of the British Royal Family” engaging in friendly exchanges with Epstein as late as February 2011—months after Andrew had claimed to have severed ties following Epstein’s 2006 investigation. I

n a 2019 BBC interview, Andrew insisted he had not spoken to Epstein after a 2010 visit to his New York home, which he called a “wrong decision.” However, the new emails suggest ongoing communication, with one message urging the recipient to “keep in close touch” and suggesting future meetings.

The correspondence, disclosed by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, raises fresh questions about the Duke of York’s relationship with the disgraced financier and undermines his prior public statements on the matter. Prince Andrew’s office has yet to comment.
