Bournemouth are looking to continue their remarkable start to the premier league on Sunday as this afternoon’s press conference Andoni Iraola was asked how the Cherries have managed such an amazing start to this Premier League season to which he replied,
“We are competing really well we have had no easy games we are effective and efficient but now the challenge is even bigger”
Iraola says that Star striker Evanilson is not ready to make his return to the side for this weekend but he believes his squad are in a good position in terms of injuries.
Iraola says he plans on giving Manchester City striker Erling Haaland as little space as possible the Norwegian international has had an impressive start to the season as he leads the golden boot race with eleven goals; a five goal gap from second place: Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo.
Semenyo believes Haaland is the best number nine in the world.
Iraola says it is not just Haaland that poses a threat to the Cherries and they have quality in every position.
When asked what Iraola thought of Alex Scott’s start to the Premier League season he replied
“He is doing very well he has competition with Ryan (Christie) which makes it difficult for me as I love both players however is good for the team”.
Bournemouth’s start has been phenomenal with an unbeaten run of eight games which makes it the longest in the premier league, Iraola would love to manage to keep it going against title rivals Manchester City with the absence of Evanilson will likely see striker Eli Junior Kroupi come into the side again he has managed very impressive form with three goals in his last two games for Bournemouth, proving how strong Iraolas attacking options are.
