TV presenter and musician Jools Holland will perform a sold out show in Bournemouth tonight.
The host of Later… will take to the stage at the Pavilion Theatre at 7:30pm alongside his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.
The show will see special guest appearances by Irish vocalist Imelda May and ‘Queen of Boogie Woogie’ Ruby Turner.
Sam Brown, daughter of music legend Joe Brown, will also join the band for a song.
Jools Holland is best known as the ex-pianist with Cool for Cats hitmakers Squeeze, before going on to host music-themed TV shows including The Tube and Later…
Among the people in his orchestra is saxophonist Derek Nash, a British Jazz Award-winning bandleader, composer, arranger, record producer and engineer.
Speaking to Buzz ahead of the show, Derek said:
“[The Pavilion Theatre] is beautiful. It’s a lovely, classic kind of art deco place with a real atmosphere. It’s great.”

This tour marks the first without drummer Gilson Lavis, Jool’s ex-Squeeze bandmate.
Lavis died last week aged 74 having retired from drumming in 2024.
“It was very sad news for all of us,” Derek said.
“We knew he wasn’t very well, and he’d made the decision almost a year ago which we all knew was, sadly, the right decision.”
Derek will tour around the country with Jools until December and will feature in the annual BBC new year Hootenanny.
In February, he will join The Wonder of Stevie in paying tribute to Stevie Wonder at the Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne.
