The Arts in the park event happened today at 1pm at the Stour Valley Nature Reserve. It’s a weekly free event that aims to inspire art through nature and help people’s wellbeing.
It’s an opportunity to discover the beautiful scenery in the BCP area. As well as the Stour Valley Nature Reserve they also hold events at Boscombe Chine Gardens.
Speaking to a team member of the event Megan Lewis, she said “The aspect of community and art paired together.”
“There two very good things that help with wellbeing.”
“There’s so many things here to look at and learn about.”

However, Despite the beautiful gesture to the community they face struggles with not many people attending. Megan explains that its because it’s free so many people don’t have an obligation to come even if they’ve booked a spot. Also, it’s hard to fit into the busy schedules of adults.
The next event is Friday 21st of November at 1pm in Boscombe Chine Gardens.
