Driver dies month after crash

A man has died from serious injuries following a fatal collision in Verwood in December.

The victim, a man in his 70s who was driving a Mini, passed away on the 19th of January in hospital after sustaining his injuries from the crash.

The accident involved three cars near the St Stephens lane junction on the 23rd of December. The driver of the Vauxhall, a woman in her 50s, sustained minor injuries and the driver of the BMW was unscathed.

Police sergeant Paul Hind of the roads policing team said that his team, “owe it to [the family] to conduct a thorough investigation” on the incident.
