A lorry driver in his 60s has died after his vehicle entered the River Avon in North Gorley on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened on Ringwood Road around 1 PM as Storm Chandra caused the river to flood, rising to levels not seen since November 2024.
Hampshire Police, Fire, and Ambulance services attended the scene, the driver was pronounced dead on their arrival.
The incident occurred during a wave of severe flooding across Hampshire and Dorset.
Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the crash.
Dorset Police are urging the public to avoid flooded routes as the cleanup from the storm continues.
