Buzz asked the local public what they thought of Bournemouth’s re-vamped Christmas market and what they think it brings to the town.
Jackie Blake, 37
“Not only have they got a Christmas market and bar, but an ice rink as well. Really gets the whole family in the Christmas spirit. We would definitely come again as its an easy and fun day out even in the cold weather.”
Sarah Riley, 31
“This is my first time coming to Bournemouth Christmas market and I’m really impressed. I think it’s a lovely idea and brings such a festive and friendly atmosphere to the town.”
Katie Stone, 17
“I came with my friends to go ice skating and we had a really good time, I didn’t realise how big the ice rink was! All the Christmas stalls and lights have made it look so pretty and made it feel like Christmas even though we haven’t had any snow.”
John Reynolds, 63
“well I think the market and festive activities have been good for the town. My wife and I have come for a day out with the grandkids. They have enjoyed looking at all the decorations and managed to get some little presents off nanny and granddad from the stalls which put a smile on their faces.”
Sam Thomas, 28
“I don’t normally do many Christmassy things but I’ve come to the Alpine bar with my mates. Its been a fun evening so far actually, you can definitely tell its Christmas especially with all the ladies drinking mulled wine.”
