Dorset Snow – a twitter based weather forecaster has been tracking the cold weather system for several days.

He stated on Twitter that the cold snap which began yesterday will continue well into tomorrow with northerly winds feeding in.

The cold pool is predicted to develop east and cause a prolonged cold spell.

One tweet said “by the 31st we could be in dreamland. Atlantic closed down, freezing cold days, constant snow risk.”
