Since the introduction of the Boscombe Regeneration project there has already been improvements.

the BCP Council proposed their plans for improving Boscombe which can be seen in the video below:

Of the six key areas that the council are focusing on there have been improvements in almost all of them, which can be seen in the map below by clicking on the differing icons and seeing the improvements made so far around Boscombe.

By clicking on the icons on the map you can see the statistical benefits of the regeneration plan.

The priority of reducing crime in Boscombe has seen a reduction as there has been a five year low in crime in 2015 when the video above was published, also the council conducted a survey and there was a reduction of 20% of people saying drugs and dealing was an issue in the area.

The priority of the environment has also seen benefits, the survey concluded that 45% of people said ‘clean streets’ is one of the most needed improvements to the town down from 54%.

The survey also discovered that 20% of people agree with the statement “I don’t like Boscombe I don’t go there” which is down 7% since the introduction of the Regeneration project.

Lastly another key priority to the council which needed improving was education in the area. Since the beginning of the project the amount of students achieving A* – C at GCSE including Mathematics and English has risen from 40% to 61%.
