An artist has made 50 chairs in 28 days in order to protest Christchurch MP Sir Christopher Chope.

Lorna Rees has taken to Twitter, using the hashtag #NopetoChope to protest the candidate. She highlights some of Chope’s controversial views, such as his bid to block equal marriage, upskirting and FGM bills.

She is hoping that her work shall change Christchurch’s safe-seat status and pave the way for a new MP. On her website chrischope.co.uk, she encourages voters to choose candidates from any other party.

Safe-seats are constituencies that are unlikely to swing to a different party during a general election.

You can follow Lorna Rees on twitter, and support her campaign using the hashtags #SafeSeatCampaign and #GE2019.
