The Environment Agency has issued flood alerts for Christchurch Harbour and the Dorset Coast at Poole Harbour.
This comes as people are warned to be careful along beaches, promenades and coastal footpaths and roads.
The agency is forecasting that there is a possibility of flooding for Christchurch Harbour.

High water is forecast at 11.45am today and the forecast tide level is 1.29 m AOD.
The agency is warning that flooding to harbour promenades and coastal footpaths is possible at this time, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide.
High sea levels are expected to continue until after the high tides at 00.45am on Wednesday.
For Poole Harbour, a large tide is expected for the next few days.
The forecast wind is Force 7, and high water is forecast today at 12:4pm, with the forecast tide level at 1.24m.
Public are being warned that there is a possibility of flooding for Poole Harbour and tidal stretches of the Lower Frome, and the River Piddle coastal conditions are expected to continue until after the high tides at 2am on Wednesday at Wareham.
The Environment Agency say it is monitoring the situation.
