According to leading LGBT+ charity Stonewall, half of trans people (51 per cent) have hidden their identity at work for fear of discrimination.
It is said that transgender people are 20 years behind gays and lesbians in terms of acceptance – and there is a fear that in this progressive society we live in, they may be being left behind.
Understanding Trans aims to engage with those at the heart of the community and understand what it is like to be young and trans in today’s society.
