In 2011, Bournemouth Borough Council made a pledge to improve the area of Boscombe through a Regeneration Scheme.

The scheme has already made vast improvements to housing in the area, a problem which Boscombe West councillor, Jane Kelly, highlighted as a key issue in the early stages of the scheme.

Work has been underway since 2012, with improvements to education, the economy, and even a new police contact hub all part of the scheme’s achievements to date.

In an exclusive interview with Buzz News, Councillor Jane Kelly delivers an update on the scheme’s progress, and reveals that the council are still waiting to discover whether their application for the government’s £25m Town Deal Fund has been approved.
