The Priory’s, who sit just above the relegation zone in 18th, will look to extend their incredible six-game unbeaten run in all competitions tonight against their mid-table opposition.
The Dorset non-league side have been in incredible form as of late, after a dismal start to the season.
However, four clean sheets from their past six league matches has earned them a total of 12 points out of a possible 18, helping them climb further towards safety.
Christchurch impressively drew their league match 0-0 on Saturday, putting in a resilient display against 2nd placed Baffins Milton Rovers FC.
However, mid-table side Alton FC will still be tough opposition for this evening’s game, despite losing 5-1 at the weekend.
Speaking to BUzz Bournemouth, Christchurch manager Callum Brooks gave his thoughts before the game. He said: “You just don’t get any easy games in this league and at this level.
“We’re in a good position from where we was, but tonight we need to keep our guard up at all times.”
Brooks added: “We’ve got a good chance against anybody but not if we go in thinking ‘hang on a minute we’re a good side now’, because we need to keep to the grittiness until the number one mission is achieved.
“Safety is number one [priority], number two will be to pick a couple of teams off and if we do that, then number three will be to try and finish as high as we can.”
With the season over the half-way point, Christchurch FC will be hoping to pick up as many points in the league as they can, starting with Alton FC on Tuesday night.
Sitting six points above the drop zone at the moment, a win here will be a huge step closer towards safety and take them within two points of 17th placed Portland United by the end of the evening.
