A31 lane closure causing 4 mile traffic congestion

A31 lane remains closed due to burst water main causing 45 minute delays.

A cracked drainage pipe on the A31 is still keeping one of two lanes closed. This is causing heavy delays Westbound between the A338 Ringwood and M27 Southampton.

Early morning traffic has caused National Highway’s to warn of up to approximately 45 minute delays. The traffic agency have updated their warning to 4 miles of congestion.

REMINDER – Lane 1 (of 2) remains closed on the #A31 westbound between #M27 #Southampton and the #A338 near #Ringwood for ongoing drainage works.
