Senegal international Nicolas Jackson is in advanced talks to swap ‘Sunny Spain’ for the south coast.
The forward has featured regularly this season for Villarreal, scoring twice and assisting twice in 14 appearances in La Liga.
He also made his international debut at the World Cup for Senegal, despite being originally from Gambia.
Jackson has struggled for regular game time however since Unai Emery left as manager of the yellow submarines, and as a result a deal would be possible this January.
The cherries will face competition from rivals Southampton for his signature. However, football journalist Fabrizio Romano has said the deal is ‘very advanced’ to bring Jackson to the Vitality Stadium.
