A flood warning is in place for the Lower Stour at Iford Bridge Home Park.

Properties are at risk of flooding and residents have been told they could be evacuated.

Flooding in the area has occurred multiple times over the past decade, but not to this level.

The Environment Agency say that the water has reached its highest point since 2013.

In 2014, over 60 homes in Iford Home Park were flooded and subsequently evacuated.

The warning came after heavy rain on Monday. The Met Office have now released a yellow warning for ice.

Here’s what a local resident had to say:

This flooding follows similar situations around Dorset over the past few days:

  • Yesterday at Woolsbridge Industrial Estate, 23 people have been rescued by Firefighters.
  • Rail services between Brockenhurst and Bournemouth were cancelled due to flooding at Sway
  • A man abandoned his BMW in Stony Lane, Christchurch due to floods

This story will be updated throughout the day.
