Kingsmere park is under the second phase of development. This includes 238 new homes to be built, but has caused congestion all the way through the A347.

Manager of Herbies fish and chip shop, Tony Pomeroy has explained: “Traffic does affect our business. People don’t want to come out as they see so much traffic or can’t be bothered.”

Alternatively, locals are excited to see the new development within West Parley as the developments also include a new Lidl mega store and a local park.

Manager of Ferndown Car Wash, Jamshed Kahn was hopeful for the stage 2 development taking place.

“Theres about 300-400 houses being made for the future and is going to be good for local business. The  only problem is traffic on the road, it is chaotic but that is the only issue.”
