AFC Bournemouth have been drawn at home to Swansea City in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The Cherries completed a second-half comeback against third-round opponents, QPR, to secure their place in the draw.
QPR flew out of the blocks, racing into a two goal lead against their Premier League opposition, but second-half goals from Marcus Tavernier, Kieffer Moore and Justin Kluivert ensured the Cherries ran out eventual 3-2 winners.
Swansea City breezed through their third round clash, defeating struggling League Two side Morecambe F.C. to book their spot in the fourth round. The third-round game was the first game in charge of the Swans for former Notts County manager, Luke Williams. The English manager will be hoping to continue his sides momentum as they travel to the Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth’s most recent fixture against Swansea was in the EFL Cup second round back in August 2023, where a Ryan Christie stoppage time winner ensured Bournemouth progressed to the next round, where they beat Stoke City, before losing to Liverpool.
Bournemouth have only got past the fourth round twice since 1989, reaching the fifth round in the 2015/16 season and the quarter-finals in 2020/21 where they were defeated by Southampton.
Fixtures will be played on or around 27th January.
