Twelve new jobs have been created at a Dorset bar that has re-opened after a four-month renovation.

Magna Carta in Ashley Cross, Poole, opened its doors to the public last week and is already proving to be popular.

The new staff are helping to contribute to the lively reputation that the bar is forming.

One member of staff, Shreya Prajapati, said: “We are running an event for Halloween, there’s going to be themed cocktails and we’re all going to be dressing up.”

Business at the bar has been going well since opening.

Miss Prajapati said: “The opening day was really, really busy and Saturday was really, really busy as well.”

The bar has undergone a significant makeover following the arrival of the new owners, with vibrant lighting and decorations lining the walls.

There are also plans for seasonal get-togethers, as well as discounts for students, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere.

One man who was a regular at the previous location, Paul Bennett, said: “Everybody’s friendly – I can’t fault the place.

“I did a review this morning and I gave it five stars; there are lovely staff and lovely food.”

The bar was well received at the opening with food being given out for free and other exclusive deals being available to commemorate the occasion.

They serve various arrays of cocktails and beers as well as meals, including full English breakfasts.

The renovation for the new bar, took four months, with the intention of creating a more comfortable atmosphere for those attending.
