The match saw the Terras lose 5-1, but also saw a minority of fans at the Bob Lucas Stadium not follow guidelines and social distancing protocols.
Director and Covid-19 officer at the club Mark Golsby advised: “Majority of those were a group of people who had no real interest in Weymouth FC and certainly didn’t have the interests of the club at heart.”
Mark also added “our systems were not quite ready. We had a ticket system which at that point was not quite ready.”
After the match, Weymouth FC began discussions with Dorset Police, on behalf of the Safety Advisory Group, in which they came to this decision.
A decision on the number of fans to be admitted will be announced Monday.

In a club statement, Weymouth FC have warned of future bad behaviour and the possibility of “the Stadium Advisory Group will refuse permission for fans to attend matches until such times as Covid restrictions are removed completely.”
Terras fan, James, 42, was at the ground on the day and said: “It was really disappointing, especially as we’ve waited so long to see them play.”
When talking about the club’s response James added: “I was pleased with how they reacted and put new measures in place for future games.”
