Poole Town have installed a new drainage system to combat games being called off.
As seen in a tweet by the club, new drains have been laid with existing drains being cleared and restored to full capacity. The club have also installed new pumps and a super soaker to help with the clearance of surface water.
Due to recent poor weather, Poole town’s last two games have been postponed and have been scheduled to be played at a later date.
Poole Town Chairman Chris Reeves spoke to BUzz news about how he hopes the pitch improvements will result in less games being called off.
Chris said ‘normal rainfall will be a lot easier to cope with going forward. It will not cause the same problems for us as it did in the past.’
He added ‘we can’t do anything about rainfall of biblical proportions…’
The news has been welcomed by the fans of the club.
